If my passport was issued in Mumbai can i apply for renewal in Bangalore where i am staying now

MY passport was issued in Mumbai. Now I am staying in Bangalore for last two years and my passport is expiring in Oct 2017. Should I apply for renewal in Bangalore or in MUmbai
