i94- Query- H1 transfer

Hi All,

I came on H1b last May 2015 and visa stamped till Sep 2016. Later I transferred h1 to X company and approved till 2019 Mar with new i94. Meanwhile I got offer from Y company and initiated H1 transfer and got approved till 2017 July. For some other reasons I haven’t joined Y company and I am still working with X company.

My question is which i94 should I have to follow to maintain legal status? is it Y company or X company?

if its Y company what is the process to extend i94 without leaving US?

You have to follow X’s I-94 as you are currently working for them. Until you join Y, their I94 doesn’t impact you.
