Hi, I have a question regarding my recent H1B Extension Approval. My Current Petition H1B was valid till Feb 2013 and my I 94 was valid till Dec 2012. Now, I have got my extension approved and the new petition is valid from Feb 2013. However, the I94 validity date also starts in Feb 2013 instead of Dec 2012. (it has the same i94 Number). Please could you advice what needs be done here because there is a gap in my i94 from Dec 12 to Feb 13? Regards Raj
Your attorney should file an application w/ USCIS to cover this period. The PoE officer should have given you initial I-94 valid until old 797 date (i.e. Feb 2013)
