i94 extension inprocess, current i94 expired

Hi All,

I am on L1B visa, my L1b visa and i94 are expiring on 25th January. My employer applied for my i94 extension on December 05. I have not received extended i94 yet. Can i stay in US if i do not receive extension before expiration of my current L1B and i94. Or will it make me go “Out of Status” ?

Please suggest.

You can stay up to 240 days beyond I-94 expiration date as long as your timely filed extension is still in process. If extension is denied, or 240 days elapse, then you need to leave US.
