i am on h4 visa and want to do ms in IT, how long does it take to convert h4 to f1.I want to take admission in Fall 2013. is it neccesary to convert visa into f1 before semester starts. or i can convert h4 into f1 after taking admission also…
COS takes around 2-3 months. You can talk to school about enrolling on H-4 in 1st semester and then enroll on F-1 in subsequent semester once COS gets approved.
