I do not know where to post my situation/problem, so I am posting it here in H-1B section. I am a citizen of India and came to the US on H-1B on Jan 2016. My passport is expiring on Nov of 2016. The immigration officer at port of entry gave me the I-94 valid till the time when my passport is expiring which is Nov of 2016. However, my H1-B visa is valid till September of 2017. In the meantime, I got a new passport from Indian embassy in NewYork.Now my question is ,My I-94 expire on Nov 11th, after expire I went to CBP office on November -21st for extension.officer said like 2 week it will take.then update.
Still not update my I-94 , How many days it will take ? whom i have to contact ? please let me know.
