My H1B is filed by one of the employer from India. It is approved by US embassy. Petition number is not shared with me by employer. Can I receive Pettion number from any other source?

There is no simple way to know the receipt number. Some folks have suggested filing FOIA, but I am not sure if it has been successful. Look up FOIA USCIS on your favorite search engine.
