How long the H1b approval takes

Hi,

I see some answers saying 2 to 6 months for my ?

Is the 6 months is the max time for a petition approval.

From last 5 months my petition is in initial review only.

Per say there is no max time for a petition response. But most petitions are generally responded to between 2-6 months. You could try converting to premium processing for a faster response.
