Does visits to India while on a J-1 visa in the USA count towards the 2-year home country residency?
The 2-year home country residency requirement involves returning home and staying there. So visits don’t count because they are not continuous. I suggest starting the paperwork to get waiver of this requirement through MHRD and External Affairs Ministry
