Hi, my h4 visa status is showing finger prints received still processing on USCIS website , i gave my biometrics in may2021 ,i known the extension process is taking little long , but my visa is gonna expire next month i.e september , my husband got his h1b renewed ,he recieved the forms in mail…so what should i do if i dont get my h4 renewed by next month , since my drivers license is also gonna expire , do i have a grace period or what should i do please let me know if anyone had similar issue , thank you.
Normally H4 dependents can stay while their extension of stay application is pending with USCIS as long as the primary H1B maintains the status.
You should however file another extension of stay application based on your spouse most recent H1B approval notice and before your I-94 expires in September.
You may also open a service request with USCIS to expedite the processing of your current H4 extension of stay application.
