H4 visa holder working from US for an Indian Company under Indian payroll.

Hi All,

I am a H4 visa holder and was working from US for an Indian Company from last 3.5 yrs under Indian payroll. Could any one please tell me whether it will affect me when I apply for H1 visa when I show my exprience certificate?

If the person under question is a US citizen,and if the payment is in US currency through a bank,there should not be a problem,if the individual is retired from service.

Yes, it will. As a H4 visa holder residing in USA, you are not allowed to be employed by US or foreign emmployer. It is not only an immigration violation but also a tax violation.
