Hello, My husband got his H1 visa approved this april. I was on F1 and my visa recently ended and I came to india. I am planning to apply for a H4 visa to stay with my husband in the US. However, his H1 is not yet stamped. I had not initiated the H4 proceedings while I was in the US. Will it be an issue if my husband does not have a stamped H1while I apply for H4 in india? Sorry if this is a repeat question, but most of the questions I had read included people who have had a H4 visa approved in the US and were waiting to get it stamped in india. How do I convince them at the consulate to accept my documents if they turn me down for not having a stamped H1 visa? Thanks!
