My wife went for her H4 interview on November 30,2017 at the Chennai consulate. The Visa officer only asked her my name before telling her that her visa was approved. She already had a tourist visa at this point. All the people I’ve known have received their passports the next day. It’s been three days and her case still shows administrative processing.
I had received a blue slip when I was applying for my H1B ( I have a PhD in chemical engineering, a sensitive topic). Has anyone been in a similar situation? We have not received any communication from the embassy and are unable to contact them for clarification. All the phone numbers I find on the internet are IVRS. Can someone please let me know a good method of contacting the embassy?
