I have H4 visa and I am currently in India. Also this year I applied for H1 and it got picked in the lottery and it is currently in approval process. The H1 is a consular processing. Now I am planning to visit USA in June on H4 visa and plan to amend my H1 petition from consular processing to COS when my H1 gets approved so that I don’t have to got back to India for stamping. Is this a valid and safe option for me?
