H4 to H1 before Oct 1st. Can she work now?

Hi - My wife’s H4 to H1 COS has been approved by USCIS and her approval notice I797a says that it’s effective from July 1st. And not oct 1st. Does that mean that she can work now? Pls advice

Since i797 has july date can we travel now without stamping

That must be an error from USCIS especially if this a new H-1 petition and you have never held H-1 in the past.

Contact your H-1 attorney and ask them how to correct this error.
