I submitted an i539 request to renew/extension my wife’s H4 status recently (her H4 visa expires in May’18). Currently, H4 VISA renewal/extension is taking several months. This VISA extension is very important for her, as she is currently full time and she should not lose the work permit status. I am looking for alternatives, to speed things up.

Is there a premium processing or something similar?

Can she fly back to India (Country of Citizenship) and go to US embassy in India and get H4 Visa extension Stamping? Does it work the same way, as she got it for the first time(first time, she got H4 stamping at US embassy in India) .
Note: Here company filed for H1B this year.
