H4 EAD expired and applied for renewal and about work

Hi ,

My wife’s H4 EAD is expired and but we applied for renewal after expiry. Today we got receipt number from USICS so she can resume working or we need to wait for approval?

If you apply timely before the expiry of EAD, you get automatic extension as long as the underlying H4 I-94 is also valid.

Did you go through the KB I shared? If her H4 I-94 is valid, she can get automatic extension for EAD if the renwal was filed before her EAD expires. If her H4 I-94 is expired and her H4 extension of status is not approved yet, she dont get automatic extension.
