I had applied for H1-B Visa Extension last year and after filing extension ,i returned back to India .I got my I-797 petition extension till Dec-2016 . And i am planning to visit US next year Apr-2015 . So , my question is ,will my I-797 Petition remain active till 2016 or is there a need to travel to US to make sure VISA does not get ended .
All approval notices issued by USCIS are valid until dates indicated on the document. The only exception is the US Green card which has a 6 month validity abroad and requires advanced parole permission or a return visit.
