H1B visa stamping with copy of I-797

Hello Sir/Mam,

I am currently in US on H1B visa.

I would be traveling to India for my visa stamping in Delhi consulate. My H1 extension is approved (premium processing) but I haven’t yet got the hard copy of my I-797.

My question is:

Can I book my visa stamping appointment and get my H1 visa stamped with copy of I-797 that I received through email?

I am on same boat. When was your petition approved?

My employer’s Immigration team says that one can attend the Interview with scan copy of Orginal i797 but ideally one should appear with orignal one.
