H1B visa stamped, left unused and expired in 2021 with Petition still valid. How to get a new Visa stamp?

Hello Experts,

I need your valuable inputs on my case details below.

In 2018, my current employer filed for H1B visa while I was working with them in the US on L1B visa.
I-797B approval notice was received sometime in April 2019 and was told to get the H1B visa stamped before my L1B visa expired on 08-May-2019.
In March 2019, due to personal reasons I relocated back to India and have been working with the same organization.
In April 2019, as per our US Attorney’s advice, I booked an interview slot with US Consulate and got the H1B visa stamped on my passport.
That visa stamp was from April 2019 to Aug 2021 and has expired already.
Now there is a possibility of another long-term work assignment with the same Petitioner in the US.
As I understand from reading many posts on this site, my H1B Petition is still valid. So here are my questions for the experts here -

  1. What do I need to get a fresh Visa stamped on my password?
  2. My passport had expired in Mar 2022 and I got it renewed for another 10 years. will this have any bearing on getting a new Visa stamp?
  3. Does my employer (Petitioner) need to re-issue another I-797B approval notice? Is that something they can do it on their own without the need to hire/consult the attorneys?
  4. As I’m still working with the same organization I believe I don’t need to attend another interview and can get the H1B stamped by post. Is this understanding correct?
  5. Are there any additional documents that my Petitioner has to issue besides the I-797B approval notice?

Thanks in advance.
Mahesh

The I-797 approval notice will have the start and end dates of your petition. Based on the expiry of your visa, seems your I-797 may have already expired, double check.

Your employer will need to file a cap-exempt H1B petition for you and once approved you will need to book visa appointment. Once your visa is approved you can travel to the US to work for the sponsoring employer.

No issues.

Refer above. Normally employer work with immigration lawyer to file the H1B petition. Yhey can still file on their own if they know how to do it.

You may be eligible for interview waiver aka dropbox.
