H1B Visa - is valid until sept 2014 can i visit India before that

HI,

My visa stamping is valid until Sept 2014, my employer is yet to initiate the extension in the interim can visit India on or before the expiry of my visa stamp.

My Question are:

  1. On return to US will Immgration officers look for a certain period or is there such limitation that visa has to valid for X nos days/months?

  2. During my visit to India if my extension is approved however if i still have the visa validity for 1 or 2 months is it mandotory that i have to get the stamping done for my extension period.

  1. No Problem, if asked U can show documentation related to Extension. Carry them

  2. U dont need to go for Stamping if there is a validity of visa
