I recently read an article, which says H1B visa holders in the us are receiving fake calls threatening them to leave the countrry. After reading the news many people have shared their cases. Is this true? How do they get access to our personal details?

also when I read more on this I came to know that there are some websites that are used for extracting passport details of immigrants. I think its better to cross check before providing any details online as it could be used for such malpractices.
Yes, never enter any details in an untrusted sites. Always ensure you that the website you enter data in has SSL and is verified by a trusted CA in browser.
