Hello,

My employer has applied my H1B visa for a project requirement. Now that project has scraped and i have been moved to UK based project. if i got selected in the lottery. is there any way my employer can stop my visa processing as i am not in US based project.

As per my research on internet, once i get selected in lottery then i have to go for interview it does not matter your employer wants or not . is it right ?

Your employer can cancel the petition.

No, you do not have to go for VISA stamping unless you have to travel to US.
