H1B validity Query

Hi,

My H1B amendment got approved and validity is same as H1B CAP 2015 , which is till 31/07/2018.

So now I have plan to travel on 28th May 2016, So will I have come back to india on or before 31/07/2018

or I can stay 3 years till May 2019.

Please guide.

You will be issued I-94 at PoE whose validity date will be same as your 797 expiration date. You can continue to stay and work until that time.

However, your employer will have to option to file for extension 6 month prior to expiration date.
