H1B transfer before stamping , currently in H4

Hi,

I am currently holding a H1B approval from employer A. Since I got married in September and moved to US in H4 visa, they told they will call me when there is an opportunity so that I can go back to India for stamping. Since my employer did not find an opportunity still, I am planning to look for H1B transfer. My questions are :

  1. Is it possible to transfer the visa before stamping is done?

  2. What documents do I need to produce to the new employer for my H1B transfer? (I do not have any documents except my petition number)

  3. Will the transfer affect the stamping process(approval/rejection) ?

If your current employer manages to find a project before you find another employer, ask them to apply for CoS, so you can start working right away and don’t need to go to India for stamping.
