my last date of contract was 31 oct 2014 and i got payslip for october month, now i am looking for new project.
please help me to understand:

as i have no project, i am out of status or i have some time to apply for h4?

its been over 3 days of november month, i have applied in one or two, and one of company told me to expect a call after a week or so, so i guess till 15 november i should expect some call as recruiter is sure that some openings will come.
please explain me that what should i do in this scenerio, i applied h1b in 2013, got h1b approved valid upto sept 2016 and can be renewed for 3 years more.
