H1B terminated by employer while I’m in India

Hi, My employer terminated my H1B while I’m in India and I have stamping with old employer till November 2024. I’m getting transferred to new employer, once it is done should I have to go for stamping again or can I travel to USA with old stamping and new approved I-797 form?

Any information would be helpful

Visa is just a travel document required to enter the US. Even if petition # & employer name is mentioned on the visa, visa is independent of employer. After the transfer you can still use the valid visa with new I-797 to travel to the US.

Any idea if I have to carry the original or the xerox copy will do?

Copy should be okay, original not required.
