H1B Stamping with approved i797 and client change

Hello,

I have a approved i797 valid until MAY 2020.
I got a new project and need to travel in a month.
Now, should i go for stamping after a LCA\Amendment wrt new client or can i go for stamping and then do my LCA\Amendment.

Kindly clarify.

Discuss with your attorney, if the Amendment is needed and then should go for stamping based on that. If they say amendment is needed, then you should only go after getting the amendment approved. The reason is, if the visa officer asks for client details and want to cross verify, you will be in trouble as those details changed…
