I have a question regarding renewal of my H1B with my current employer.
I am currently fulltime (40 hr/week) with H1B approved till November of 2014. I am going part-time (20 hr/week) with the same employer and they are renewing with amended petition at the same time. They are going to give September 15th as the new start date for part time employment, apply for LCA and then file my H1B this week. My current LCA and H1B for full time employment are approved till November 2014. My question is can I go part time once I get the receipt number or do I have to wait for approval since it is part-time amended petition/renewal of H1B?
