H1B Quota limit is Full for 2013?

Hi,

I have B1/B2 visa for 5 years, I received a job offer yesterday with a company in the states. They said they need to sponsor me and start my H1B application papers in order to start working with them.

I heard that the quota has reached its limits for year 2012-2013.

is it true? does it mean that I wont get my H1B until next year? if so, how come they are willing to get me to work with them before december 2012?

Yes you are correct. you are eligible to file the H1b only in April 2013 and can travel only on October 2013.
