H1B petition validity period

Hi,

Can you please let me know the H1B petition validity period? If my petition is approved in current CAP, what is the last date to appear for stamping in USCIS consulate?

H1B petitions are usually approved for 3 years or for the duration of the work/contract mentioned in the application, whichever is less.

As far as I know, you may go for stamping from 90 days prior to 1st October 2014 until 6 months before the expiry of the approved petition.
