I have non technical education background (U.G: B.Sc and P.G: M.B.A) and have been working in IT sector from 7 years. Will I be eligible to apply for H1B petition or there are any restrictions as I have non technical education.

Is the BSc degree in IT or closely related field? For e.g. BSc Electronics or Electrical or Computer Science.
To qualify for the H-1B visa category, the prospective H-1B employee must hold a U.S. bachelor’s or higher degree, or the equivalent foreign degree. If foreign degree then the person must hold a U.S. equivalent 4 years’ bachelor’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university. If the foreign degree is 3 years’ bachelor’s degree (as in your case), a 3 years of work experience in same or similar field /occupation can be considered to one year additional education.

My BSc degree is in pure science background (Botany, Bio-Chemistry and Chemistry), it is not related to IT or any other computers related courses.
My M.B.A also does not have any IT related courses.
I only have 7 years of work experience in IT field.
Can you please let me know, Will I be qualified for the H1B in this case.
