H1b Petition approved for client A; Can I stamp visa for Client B ?

Hi,

Currently I am in India. I got my petition approved with my employer with client A; however the visa is not yet stamped.

Now, the client A project is completed and I want to travel to US for Client B.

My questions are :-

1. Can I stamp visa for client B with Petition Approved for Client A.

2. What all documents needs to arrange for visa stamping in such cases.

3. Is there any rejections for such type.

Thanks in advance.
  1. NO, a Cap-Exempt Petition must be filed from Employer B and then after approval, U can go for stamping for B

U cant use other employers Approved petition

  1. Your employer will have to file a new LCA for client B followed by H-1 amendment. You can then appear for stamping using the new LCA, amended petition and B’s documents.

  2. Refer (1)

  3. There is always a chance of running into visa refusal. It may not be directly related to change of clients, and can happen even if you would have appeared for stamping through A.
