H1B on 221(g) - Can I travel to US on B2 visa for brother's marriage

Hi,

I have a valid B2 Tousit-Visa and visited US in 2012 and returned within 1 month. I field for H1B and it’s in 221(g) Administravie Processing since Jan-2014. As you’ll know it might take atleast 6-8 weeks or even more to get reply from US consulate on Approval or Deniel. Now I want to travel to US on B2 to attend brother’s marriage.

  1. Will it be a problem at POE ?

  2. What if I get reply from US Consulate in India to submit passport for stamping while I am in US ? Should I exit US and submit passport in India ?Or Can I get visa stamping done in near by US country ?
