H1B is picked in lottery but RFE had come

Hi Team,

In 2016 H1B lottery my name was picked and I got mail for the same but after that RFE (Request for Evidence) had come and I was asked to provide few documents along with Client Letter. I was able to provide all the documents but Client Letter took time and I was told that my H1B is going to get cancelled and I have to initiate everything from the scratch. Is it correct that everything has to start from the begining including lottery process etc. ?

Please confirm ASAP.

If you are not able to supply the required RFE documents within the allowed time, your current petition would be rejected and you MUST start all over next opportunity.
