Hi,

I need help in understanding H1B quota system. One of my friend who worked in USA in 2007 for 2 years wants to come to USA now. Should he apply for new H1B in 2016 quota or his 2007 visa is valid to work for remaining 4 years ?

H1B —> 2005 quota and worked from 2005 to 2007. Now he wants to work in USA. Does he need to apply again in 2016 quota or his old visa can be used to work in USA ?

I think that he can use the previous H1 remaining time, no need for fresh quota H1 for your friend.
