H1B extension validity

Hi,

I am currently working for employer A, In February I got a job offer from an employer B and they did my H1B transfer but due to some personal reason I didn’t joined employed B and went back to India for a 4 week vacation and I came back last month. Now employer B haven’t yet cancelled my I797 so can I still join employer B? Also when I came back from India my I94 was issued on the basis of current employer i797 validity which will expire on August 6 will it be an issue? Please advise me on this.

You cannot work for B yet as your I-94 was issued for A and not B. Easiest solution is to go to CA or MX, and then return and show B’s 797 at PoE.
