Hi all,

is it illegal for an employer not to provide a copy or original H1B document ? if so what are the options to obtain a copy ?

Employer is bound by law to provide you with I-94 and copy of LCA but not the approval notice of the H1B petition.
You can file form I-824 with USCIS to request the copy of approval notice.
