H1B Approved but problems in trasition

Dear Saurabh,

I am following your suggestions quite often. I think you can help me this time too.

I am working on EAD and valid till Dec 2013. Meanwhile I got job offer from non profit organization and they applied for my H1b and approved.

Now they(non profit) are in the process of Background check process and it is taking long time.

I am wondering what will happen to my working status EAD If they revoke H1b before I start to their company.

Was your H-1 approved w/ COS? If yes, then you are on H-1 status from that approval date and need to start working on H-1. You also need to stop working on L-2 EAD from that date.

They should have done the background check before issuing the offer letter or while your petition was pending.
