Kindly help me to come out of the limbo state.
I am working for company A in India. I got my H1b visa stamped through company last month. In my petition they have mentioned X salary by mistake which is very high and they are unable to place me in the project in any project in US due to high salary. I am still in India.
Now there are telling that they will be filing an amendment to change my job role in turns salary reduction.
I have following question.

Is it possible to reduce the salary and change the role?

If yes how much percentage salary can be reduce from original petition?

Is there any chance to get RFE for or VISA revocation due to this kind of amendment?

How much time it will take to get the amendment approval?
