I got H1B for an internal project for location A but since i got a new client project in a new location Y ? Please let me know whether my employer has to file LCA as well as H1B amendment? how much time it will take?

Yes your employer needs to file LCA and amendment. LCA would take 7-14 days. H1 amendment could take 4-6 months in regular processing and 15 days in premium. You can start working at the new location once the LCA is approved and amendment has been filed.
