I work in EVC model and had my H1B extension interview on 30 Dec, '19 at New Delhi consulate.Passport was returned and was given 221(g) blue slip. I submitted documents on Jan 6, 2020 and case last updated has not changed since my interview date. It’s been > 60 days and no client verification has taken place yet. Is there any hope?
Well, unfortunately the 221g is a black box, we do not know what the outcome could be…There are few cases that got approved after 180 days as well, so very hard to say…All we can do is stay positive. Most of the case get a decision anywhere from few weeks to few months… Stay positive !

I agree with Kumar, Stay positive, and pray to get your case accepted for a reasonable time.
For me, I had a family-based case, and I got a white 221g slip, then finally approved ten days after the medical exam expired, which is about six months after sending the requested documents to the embassy.
During this long waiting period, the embassy never replied to my querying emails except once before they contacted me to renew the medical exam.
I am just telling that to know that you have to be patient and think of great hope to be approved soon.
