I know this must be the most common question and at the same time, most confusing as well since the answer is not clearly available.
I’ve got my H1 stamped in this year’s quota (year 2013) and is valid till June, 2016 and I’m still in India since I can’t travel before Oct, 2013. Now, I want to change the company and would obviously want my visa to be transferred to the new company.
I asked the immigration team of my company in general about visa transfer, they said that like any other company, they’d cancel the visa of anyone leaving the company. If they can cancel my visa, how is it transferred to another company the way it is said in some of the blogs on the net??? Need clarification pls…
