H1 Petition approved in 2009 but do not have any details. Ex-employer is not ready to provide any detail. How to obtain the H1b petition no to initiate cap-exempt process?
You must be having the USCIS case number, right? Otherwise, how did you know that the H1 petition was approved? USCIS will not provide you the details, since H1-B gets issued to the employer. If you have the contact details of the attorney, you may try your luck with them.
Otherwise, you must talk to an immegration attorney to find out if there is any option.

Well my employer told me that they have initiated h1b visa for me and sent email notification to me on visa approval. They also mentioned that they will share petition number once I initiate the visa stamping which I did not go for it.
