H1-B transfer in process and possibility of H1-B cancellation/revokation by current employer

Hello friends,

I am on H1-B through company A. I got an offer through Company B and they have just filed for H1-B transfer in regular. When I checked with the new employer, they said I can work for the new client immediately after the USCIS receipt number is received and at that point in time the employer can’t cancel/revoke the H1-B and there will not be any issues. Please let me know if this is correct. Should I pay to get it upgraded to premium processing?. Any risks for going with regular processing?. Please advise as I am planning to resign in 7 days. Thanks!

Yes, you can work for the new employer after you receive the USCIS receipt number. With the USCIS work load, it is advisable to go for premium processing, as you can get the decision soon, if your employer can afford to do that for you…
