H1 B Transfer immedidately after approval

Hi,

My h1b is approved for FY2014. I work for company A and company B applied for my H1b. I am on OPT valid til Nov2013.

Can i trasfer my H1b to company C/ CompanyA without working for company B?

Yes, you may, but the H1 will authorize you to work only from Oct 1st 2013. As you are an OPT student, your OPT should allow you to work until then.

Remember, you ‘might’ be asked to reason the job transfer when you go for stamping of H1. So have an answer ready.
