Should I still be hopeful after USCIS ran 2nd round lottery for H1-B in August. Any one received email from USCIS in past 2 days?

Chances are very less because USCIS will select the unused or unselected registrations (Profiles) until fiscal year end i.e OCT 1st, So you have lesser than 1 month time to get a notification from your employer. Good luck.
