H1-B Approval and Start Date

Hello,

My company applied my H1-B in April, 2015 in regular processing. I got a RFE for my application in March, 2016. They applied for the response on May 20th, 2016. If my application is approved, will my H1 start date be from Oct,2015 or will it start from the day it was approved?

Its start date will be the actual date of approval. You won’t lose out on any time as you would still have 6 years of H-1B left w/ you.
