H! B Transfer Question

Hi,

My petition was picked up in lottery and my case approved. I am working for a consultancy who have sponsored my H-1B. The client where I am working wants to hire me and willing to transfer H-1B.

Question: Do I have to get my passport stamped with H-1B and then transfer it to new employer or can it be done before I get my passport stamped?

Also can I start earlier on H-1B i.e before Oct 2016 with my new employer once H-1B is transfered?

Visa stamping in passport is not a pre-req for H-1 transfer.

I assume your current petition was just approved in this year’s filing. In that case, new H-1 also cannot start prior to Oct 1.
