Hi RedBus2US community, thanks for the wonderful info that everyone is sharing around.

I have a question bro and I need help.

I am a STEM-OPT student and it was about to end in February 2024.

In March 2023, I filed 6 applications for the H-1B lottery. Out of them 2 of them are sister companies which I wasn’t aware of initially.

During the first lottery, Two applications got selected and those applications are from the two sister companies. For a reason, they decided not to proceed with the filing. So we ended up not filing.

Now during the second lottery, one is selected. The selected one is not related to either of the two sister companies. This is a different one.

Is it a good thing to proceed with this new one or will there be any issues?

There is a chance that they might look into your application in detail and ask you to justify all the 6 application and the fact that 2 application are for sister companies make this almost indefensible.

While doing the second lottery do they re-consider applications that are picked in the first lottery and not processed ones?
